Notwithstanding a loss to Red Bull Salzburg in the final group stage match of the Europa League, Celtic qualified for the knockout stage and face a difficult tie in Valencia.
The Bhoys have two bones to pick with this tie.
Firstly, the Scottish champions will be looking to better their round of 32 exit last season to Zenit St. Petersburg. Moreover, they will be seeking revenge for their last tie against Valencia in 2001 where Celtic lost in the third round of the UEFA cup at home on penalties.
Despite a slow start to their La Liga campaign in 14th place, Valencia have a strong side who were ousted in the Champions League group stage by two formidable opponents - Juventus and Manchester United.
