Andrew Robertson - Liverpool FC - LB
At a young age of 24 years old, Andrew Robertson has already established himself as the captain of Scotland’s international team as well as becoming an indispensable part of Jurgen Klopp’s high-flying Liverpool side.
Robertson began his footballing career at Queens Park before joining Dundee United just one year later after winning the Scottish League Young Player Of The Year. He then was snapped up by Hull City, who was swiftly was relegated to the Championship in 2016. Liverpool FC saw the young Scots talent and snapped up the 22-year-old international defender for a bargain price of £8 million.
Since cementing his place in the first team for Liverpool, “Robbo” has seen his reputation flourish. His prowess for attacking the flanks, defensive solidity and exquisite delivery from crosses in wide areas has become a staple for Liverpool and has seen Robertson’s stock skyrocket over the past two years. Along with Marcus Alonso and Benjamin Mendy, Robertson is regularly regarded as one of the Premier League’s best left backs.
Robbo seems to have a balance between attack and defense that is lacking in many modern full-backs. One thing is certain, if Andrew Robertson can continue his development and keep this form in Flopp’s system, he could become one of the best LBs in world football.
