Fresh off the back of a Scottish Premiership title and a Scottish Cup victory over Motherwell, the Celtic FC 2018/19 squad turns their focus towards a Champions League run under manager Brendan Rodgers.
The Bhoys have gone on to secure back-to-back league titles AND Scottish cup trophies under Rodgers, however Champions League success remains elusive after the disastrous 7-0 loss to Barcelona in the first game of the 2017 group stage.
Let’s take a look at this year’s squad, the fixture list and break down the remaining barriers to Champions League entry.

Celtic FC Roster
Celtic FC will grace Parkhead with their spirits high, despite a relatively quiet transfer window.
With a great mix of youth and experience at his disposal, Rodgers will certainly be expected to retain the Scottish Premiership Title and look to advance past the group stages of the UCL into a coveted knockout round fixture.
Domestically, Rodgers face a new nemesis in his former player with Steven Gerrard taking charge at Rangers.

Celtic FC Transfers 2018/19
Much to the lament of Brendan Rodgers, the 2018/19 Celtic FC roster didn’t undergo the amount of changes many expected this off-season. However, the additions made could prove invaluable in this season’s Champions League run.
Odsonne Edouard (£9.27m)
With goals in Champions League qualifying and in the first week of the Scottish Premiership, Edouard already looks the part for Celtic. The young French-Guiana Centre-Forward was purchased from Paris SG for a fee in the range of £10m to bolster the attack and add fresh ideas into the side. At just 20 years old, Edouard is certainly one to watch this season if he can develop a pitch-side relationship with the high-flying dembele.
Emilio Izaguirre (Free Transfer)
A surprise but welcomed addition to the squad, the 32-year-old Honduran left back will provide stability and cover in the defence for Rodgers and co.
Scott Bain (Free Transfer)
The 26 year old Scottish goalkeeper will be challenging Gordon and De Vries for the No. 1 role between the posts for Celtic this season after his free transfer from Dundee FC give Rodgers plenty of security options in goal.
Daniel Arzani (Long-term loan)
Another young squad addition in the form of a long-term loan, the Australian midfielder was a substitute for the Socceroos in the World Cup this summer and is widely regarded as the most promising talent to come out of australia in some time. After signing for Manchester City this summer - Arzani gets his
Predicted Starting 11
Keeping belgian international CB Boyota away from premier league suitors could prove vital to Celtic’s success in the back. The pacey Dembele and tricky Rogic are joined by France U20 international Edouard and loanee Australian wonderkid Arzani to provide a youthful and dangerous attacking edge to Celtic’s 2018/19 campaign.

Rodgers has been known to shift formation, playing with 5 in the back for wing-back threats and has plenty to offer from the bench, so expect a lot of rotation and tinkering.
